About
I'm Catriona - a Physiotherapist and Pilates instructor.
I didn't come to Pilates because it was trendy, I came to it because, as a Physiotherapist, I was frustrated by how many people were living with ongoing back pain and recurring injuries despite doing all the right things.
I began my career as a Physio in 2006, in the NHS in Glasgow where I worked with people of all ages managing pain, injury and recovery in real-world settings. I saw how often people felt unsure about movement - and how easily pain could become something they felt they just had to live with.
When I moved to Singapore in 2011 and began working in a musculoskeletal practice, I trained as a Pilates instructor alongside my Physio work. It was there that things really clicked. I started to see people move better, feel stronger and most importantly - live without constant pain or fear of movement.
Pilates wasn't about pushing harder. It was about moving more intelligently.
I returned to Glasgow in 2013 and have worked in private practice ever since, combining Physiotherapy and Pilates to support people through pain, recovery, and long-term movement.
Over the years, I've seen how powerful this approach can be - not just for rehabilitation, but for everyday life. Pilates helps people trust their bodies again. It builds control and confidence in a way that feels sustainable, not overwhelming.
I know that access to Pilates isn't equal for everyone. Cost, time and location can all be significant barriers. Studio classes and private sessions can be out of reach for many people.
This platform was created with that in mind - to make Physio-led Pilates more accessible, affordable and sustainable.
